There are primarily two different species of rat in Los Angeles and Orange County. The Roof Rat and the Norway Rat. Both are small in size and are often mistaken for mice. While it is normal to see a rat occasionally in an outdoor setting you definitely do not want them in your home, attic or crawlspace. Rats “mark” with their urine which is an attractant to more and more rats. Rat feces and urine can be very dangerous to human health, spreading diseases such as salmonellosis.

The most important thing in rat control and other rodent control is figuring out how they are getting into a structure and permanently sealing all entry points while at the same time starting our rodent trapping process in the affected area. We use all heavy duty materials for this to make sure that it lasts for years to come. This is called a rodent exclusion.
